Here are the Wage Subsidies & Resurgence Payment Scheme update for this August 2021 lockdown in New Zealand:

Wage Subsidies
The Government has announced that employers and self-employed will be entitled to apply for the wage subsidy again through WINZ (covid wage subsidy). It will be open from Friday the 20th of August 2021, with payments made within a few days. Applications will be available for 2 weeks.
The weekly entitlement is $600 for full time (working more than 20 hours per week) and part-time $359 per week. You will need to show a drop in revenue of 40 per cent or more for a 2-week period compared to a similar time last year.

Resurgence Payment Scheme
The Resurgence Support Payment is also back; key things to note are:
Eligible businesses throughout New Zealand can apply for the Resurgence Support Payment if they incur a loss of 30 percent of revenue as a result of the Alert Level change.
The Resurgence Support Payment continues to be $1,500 plus $400 per full-time equivalent employee.
This covers fixed operating costs (e.g. rent, electricity etc.), not wages or personal drawings. It does include GST if you are GST registered. It can be applied for from the Inland Revenue website from Tuesday the 24th of August 2021.

Kia Kaha & stay safe all 🤗
